  Textbook:  it is very cleap to buy an older edition from alibris; an excellent history source.

This Side of Peace by Hanan Ashrawi, a Palestinian negotiator for peace and college professor. Copyright 1995 The Memphis Library has 2 copies.

Israeli Pacifist: The Life of Joseph Abileah by Anthony Bing, a Quaker.  Joseph Abileah was an Austrian Jew who went to Palestine in 1923, a violinist who worked for reconciliation between Arabs and Jews for 50 years. Copyright 1990

The Union For Reform Judaism  has educational materials about Islam and about Jewish-Muslim interfaith programs; some summaries of this material can be found at  http://urj.org/muslimdialogue/      and that site provides contact information to get more, by e-mail.  They distribute a DVD called  Children of Abraham, which they produced jointly with the Islamic Society of North America http://isna.com.  I'm unclear as to whether that video is associated also with the people at  http://www.childrenofabraham.org/      which also has useful links.

The Clash With Distant Cultures: Values, Interests, and Force in American Foreign Policy by Richard Payne has a good chapter on the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict and one on Resolving Conflicts Peacefully.  The book shows how stereotypes from adult shows, kid shows, and cartoons on TV affect US foreign policy.
